Sophie Foster is on the run—but at least she’s not alone.

Her closest friends from the Lost Cities have gone with her to join the Black Swan. They still have doubts about the shadowy organization, but the only way to find answers is to start working with them. And as they settle into their new lives, they uncover secrets far bigger than anything they’d imagined.

But their enemies are far from done, and unleash a terrifying plague that threatens the safety of an entire species. Sophie and her friends fight with everything they have—with new allies joining them—but every choice has consequences. And trusting the wrong person could prove deadly.

In this game-changing fourth book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie must question everything to find a truth that will either save her world—or shatter it. ~ Goodreads

Oh…my…gosh! I just love this book so much! After reading Everblaze I was expecting something just as awesome. But no! Mrs. Messenger takes Everblaze’s awesomeness and multiplies it by, like, ten! The drama! The plot twists! The romance! The character growth! It was ALL amazing! And I love how there wasn’t too much, but not too little romance. Because I hate it when a “action” book turns into a romance. And the new characters were just amazing! It will be interesting to see how they effect “Team Keeper”.

My complaints: The ending!! And I have to wait a whole year to find out what happens!! Argh.

Age recommendation: 9

The most Fabulous Quotes!

“There are many shades of trust, and most of them are gray.”

“But your dad’s enjoying it. He’s been rigging traps”

“Only Dex would decide to jab a gadget with a stick.”

It’s almost better than Neverseen! It’s What Does the Cat Think!

I’m still waiting for the audiobook to come out.

I no longer wonder why you’re failing english.

I give this book 5 stars out of 5!!

  2. I am 13 and I love this book too, even my mom reads this series. I love it so much I went to the launch party in a plane, without my parents. I agree then ending was too cliffhangery and finishing the book before it came out, made it even worse. I can’t wait for lodestar!
